David Larwill: Ten years on
A Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery exhibition
19 July – 15 September 2013

David Larwill: Ten years on is the first survey of David Larwill’s work since the 2001–02 national touring exhibition Stuff that matters. Spanning the past decade, the exhibition reveals Larwill’s achievements and his commitment to family, friends, landscape, the environment and contemporary art. It focuses on major paintings, sculpture and assemblages produced between 2002 and 2011.
In an interview with exhibition curator Rodney James, Fiona Larwill and long-standing friends Wayne Eager (Iggy) and Marina Strocchi – celebrated artists in their own right – reflect on David’s irreverent and highly individualistic approach to both art and life.
